Liberatore is renowned for her expertise in sinus surgery and the treatment of sleep apnea. A pioneer in her field, Dr. Liberatore is consistently at the helm of introducing life changing new procedures, such as the minimally invasive Balloon Sinuplasty, to her patients and the city of New York.
She is frequently featured as an expert on sinus and sleep related issues in the national news media and prominent talk shows including the Early Show and various local New York City television stations. In 1998, Dr. Liberatore opened her private practice, Lexington ENT, on New York’s Upper East Side where patients flock for her distinctive holistic approach and soothing bedside manner. Dr. Liberatore is a currently a fellow at the American Academy of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgeons, The American College of Surgeons, The American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and The American Academy of Sleep Medicine.
After receiving her undergraduate degree in chemistry at New York University and medical degree from Stony Brook School of Medicine, Dr. Liberatore completed her residency at Manhattan Eye, Ear, and Throat Hospital. She continues to maintain privileges in Otolayngology-Head & Neck Surgery and Facial Plastic Surgery at two of New York’s most distinguished hospitals: Lenox Hill Hospital – Manhattan Eye, Ear, and Throat Hospital.
Dr. Liberatore’s dedication to health and wellness extends to both patients and new generations of physicians. She diligently attends global medical conferences and collegial forums in order to keep abreast of the latest technologies and therapies within her specialty. As one of the first doctors in the nation to offer Balloon Sinuplasty, Doctor Liberatore was given the honor of performing the first live Balloon Sinuplasty procedure in front of 500 physicians and colleagues at the 2009 Sinus Forum.
In addition to helping her patients, Dr. Liberatore’s greatest love is teaching. She proudly mentors future otolaryngologists at New York University. In 2006, she was bestowed the honor of receiving the first ever Stanley Blaugrund Award for Excellence in Teaching.
